Actually Lucille Ball, who was originally a brunette, did have blonde hair in the 30s, it wasn't until 1942 or so that she dyed her hair red to stand out from all the other blonde starlets in Hollywood =)

She had red hair, in the black in white it may appear as blonde though. But not in color :P
