Amazing scene from Ricky in the final episode of Extras by Steven Merchant and Ricky Gervais. This scene really stood out for me and showed the transition Ricky gervais can make between COmedy and Drama.

@movingthemountain i thought lifes too short was pretty good. at least on par with most of the extras series.

Moving and insightful piece of TV that no other show could match it for its sheer sense of critical and irreverant analysis of the downside to B grade celecrity, or those whose life is simply and only defined by the dollar and its materials beneficiaries...bless u Ricky

The best comedy, in my opinion, is the type that makes you think. Ricky Gervais, Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor etc. challenged political views and made you think whilst also being entertained. ENLIGHTENMENT.

I LOVE Ricky so much. If only more people would look at all of his material they would see that he is not only a comedic genius and one of the funniest people on earth, he is an extremely intelligent man, which is made obvious not only by his acting in this scene, but also by the fact that he wrote this scene and this show.
