California man says Prius accelerated out of control

A California Highway Patrol officer helped slow a runaway Toyota Prius from 94 mph to a safe stop on Monday after the car's accelerator became stuck on a San Diego County freeway, the CHP said.

@doriftosil13 actually, if you listen to his 9-1-1 tape call, the operator BEGS for him to put it into neutral and/or shut it off over the course of 23 minutes, but he "conveniently" doesn't hear her. hmm... do you know how the officer got him to stop? he told him to press the brake and press the off button. sikes said that he was afraid to put it into neutral because he was afraid the car might flip over. very fishy indeed...
