@InerRecords no it's not a fake guitar. it is not an illusion, you are actually seeing a guitar in this video. other companies besides Fender make "telecasters" . the copywrite for this design expired years ago.

@horsrescue actually, the patent and copywright that Leo had for the "telecaster" expired years ago. Fender's legal team won't be chasing anybody. i guarantee it.  the only thing they still have current is the headstock shape, which is why Rondo changed to a new style last year.

@horsrescue Mate everybody knows these are not real telecasters or strats.And if they are noobs enough all they have to do is look at the headstock.End of story.It just that some people dont wanna pay extra 400 or 500 for the headstock alone.They are players not elitistic snobs.And i bet you in a blind test you wont be able to tell "the real thing" from a nice modded copy.You know how many have custom strats they prefer to play and also have a standard just for the..."prestige"?

Intellectual property has value. "intellectual" is in the dictionary. Look it up. Purchase what you can afford on your minimum wage job and don't begrudge those of us that postponed immediate gratification and saved some money to purchase what we value.

@horsrescue iam wondering who should we chase for the overpriced trophy guitars that with the headstock name alone demand huge amounts of cash that they certainly dont deserve.A decent build with great pickups and of course...good hands is all it takes.

@horsrescue Oh cut the crap! I'm sick and tired of legal threats from companies like Fender, Gibson and Jackson (who make OVERPRICED guitars). No lawyers will come knocking at SX's or Agile's doors anytime soon, Fender doesn't own the patent to all guitars, just the fucking name and the stupid shape of the headstocks.

Big brand guitars are overpriced because of all the stupid lawsuits in the first place!

Legendary guitar maker, Fender Guitars, helped pave the way for electric guitars of today, but the question of today, “is Fender’s body-shape generic?”. Obviously TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) believe so. Fender lost its case to make its Stratocaster, Telecaster and Precision guitar body shapes a trademark in the USA.
