Hi, I'm an aspiring young pianist. I'm learning how to play this piece with a private teacher, I'm 13 yrs old. My question is, what tempo is a good tempo for Suite No. 3? My teacher and my CD cannot compromise. :) What speed did you play it, I like to know-- that sounds like a good speed. Thanks

Fantastically played... Really nice speed too. I've seen a few videos of the Danzas Criollas and it really ruins it when people play them (particularly mvt. 5 and Coda) stupidly fast and end up making horrible mistakes. This was note perfect and the perfect speed - nice job :)

Hi, thanks for your reply. I think your method would help me a lot. Just practicing one bar at a time helped me to improve the 2nd movement. I'm still struggling with the glissando in the 5th.. Will keep you posted

Hi.. excellent performance. I'm planning to play this piece for my LTCL exam in december.. any tips on perfecting the 5th movement is really appreciated..

The 5th Movement!!! All those jumps! I wish I could be more helpful. I practice it still slowly, then shorter parts( even just 1 bar or a couple of beats!) at a time muchfaster than the performance tempo. Hope that will help. Best of luck to you in Dec.
