  • My journey was similar, but ended up differently. I went from Christianity to atheism, and then to pantheism.

  • We certainly have souls but to me it's the same thing as our minds, our brain generates our mind and the universe itself through the process of evolution created our brain. It seems kind of strange and unlikely that the universe just so happens to be set up in a way which allows all this to happen by pure blind random chance. Even if it is possible it would be strange if that is in fact what happened.

  • Im in the military, I probably have just as many non religious friends as you. judging by your statement you really are a trouble person.

and yes I do wish to convert them all..

  • Hey - get some non religious friends and if you are Christian do not try to convert them - you will learn that they are wonderful people, they can be morally upright, they can have values and find meaning in life - without God or Jesus or Science - We do not need to anxiously worry about "eternal destiny", do you notice how people have certain behaviours when they are nervous - like biting their nails or twisting hair - Religion is like that, its a reaction to our pain.

  • If the eternal destiny of your soul depended on it, why not believe? If eternality is true, this life is but a blip on the scale of eternity, and you gave it up, due to the empty feelings of your soul, that emptiness will soon arise in your heart and it will come with a vengeance because that hole cannot be filled except by the spirit of God, this is my philosophy on certain unknowns based in biblical light. The soul of humanity longs for the pure love of God THAT CAN BE FOUND.

  • Hey squarecircle. Are there any absolutes?

  • great vid.

at least now i know that i am not the only crazy guy in this world.

    lol

    thanks

I loved the nature-god part, because i actually thought that i was the one who came up with the idea then i read through pantheism and ...... agnosticism.

  • Your story is quite similar to mine, i come from a christian family, was baptised, went to church, sunday school etc but never really believed in it. I was basically agnostic till my late teens then eventually through educated thinking came to the conclusion that believing in things (or having faith in something) literally just for the sake of believing in it, is actually wrong... lol

"Educating yourself by observation of non biased material gives the most potentially valid conclusions".

  • You look like my ex boyfriend. He had very long fingers and hands like you. He was half Chinese, but you couldn't tell unless you got really close lol.

I think what you went through sounds a lot like what I am going through now. It's like I know the truth, but I'm trying to find a halfway point between believing in something and believing in nothing. BTW, really hard to do lol.

  • Great story.

"Supernatural" and "Pantheistic God/divine" I think is mostly defined by an emotive relation to the universe. It really can't be false, cause this emotionless state is also kind of emotive too. All subjects have an emotive perspective everytime... There really isn't an objective perspective I think.
