New Conversion Strategy for Bloggers Inspired by Scribd

IMPORTANT: To utilize the strategy I show you in the video, you will need a membership site plugin for your Wordpress blog. Read on, I have a couple of recommendations on that if you need it.

This is a quick little video that demonstrates an interesting new content monetization strategy that the folks at Scribd.com recently implemented.

If you're a blogger and you have both free and paid content, this might be a very good model to test out with your audience. My gut tells me that simply because of the prominence of the buy button, the way that it floats up and down the page, and the way that it's designed with the price inside of what looks like an input field...

That this may just be a winning strategy.

If you don't already have a premium membership side of your blog. I highly recommend you experiment with rolling out some premium content on either a pay-per-post basis or a tiered monthly membership basis. The reports that I'm hearing from many of the bloggers that have adopted this hybrid membership site model, have made it very clear that this is a very effective way to monetize your content. And do it in a low-key, respectful way with your audience.

The guys at Wishlist have done an excellent job with their wordpress plugins, and it's very easy to use.

Other trainers that I know swear by a different one called DAP. It looks kinda poorly designed to me, but I'll check it out and give you an update on what I think of it here pretty soon.

I feel like you demonstrated your ideas very clearly, but perhaps your presentation suffers from your mic quality. Other than the small stumble at the beginning your tone was very concise and "bland" for the lack of a better term - you weren't jumping between different tones and attitudes . This seems like a healthy review of the content though.
