Listening to this double talking a**hole frank obfuscate when backed into a corner on ACORN is sickening. He tries to change the subject to the bush administration. We are talking BILLIONS of dollars here frank. This man is on record certifying the financial soundness of fannie mae. HE WAS BANGING ONE OF THE FREDDIE MAC EXECUTIVES (herb moses) while he was in charge of "overseeing" them. No wonder the government brought the financial sector to its knees with guys like this in charge.
Highbury: I can't speak for Frank, but I have watched Bachmann go to the mat w/ many people both Reps & dems in order to protect our constitution. She confronts them w/ "How is this constitutional" & "Where do get the authority to do this based on the constitution-please point out how you have the power to do this based on the constitution!"
It's easy to sit back & say "they're all corrupt" & I'm tempted to do so sometimes also, but the truth is-that kind of talk accomplishes nothing.
funds for a program out of fear of the race card being pulled on him isn't rational if it's a umbrella program which probably existed before any minority organizations even existed.
group is bull. THAT is the point i was trying to make. I am sure that there are hundreds of thousands of groups that qualify for the particular Federal program Acorn qualified for. Frank is raising his argument as if Bush literally KNEW or approved of a program that was Acorn specific and singularly. My argument is that this Program Bush approved funds for is a huge program which hundreds of thousands of companies take part in and qualify for. So the notion that Bush could not deny
I didn't say he should have administered anything differently. And i didn't say anything about race related policies in that context at all. That is not my conversation I just do not believe that Bush even knew specifically he was giving funds to ONE organization. Just like The president may approve particular corporate welfare programs. Those programs are used my hundreds of thousands of groups/companies. To select ONE and try to point out that BUSH specifically wanted money to go to THAT
Not trying to deflect anything.....just seriously interested about what specific race related policies Bush should have administered differently. Still waiting......
Nice way to try to deflect the argument. I could say the same thing to you if i wanted to avoid the debate. I could say that you have no proof that Bush had to give to Acorn. And if you do not give me proof of a policy where Bush had to give to Acorn then no such policy exists. Hey that was good. You have taught me well. Now i can pretend that this never happened.
Please list 10 specific policies that could have been administered differently under the Bush administration ....and then I'll be satisfied with your rebuke. Thanks.
False. Acorn is part of a ton of non profit organizations which get funding from the same manner. Bush didn't specifically approve Acorn funding. He approved of the program which Acorn could get funding from. For all he or we knew a secret Neo Nazi could have also qualified for it and they would have received the money. If Bush did things specifically to avoid the race card there are a lot of other policies he would have administered differently.
What lesson did you learn from this discourse between Barney Frank and Michelle Bachmann? I learnt that the democrats and the republicans are just as corrupt! The American people are in a perpetual state of getting butt raped by the dems and repubs
