On November 12, 2011, I made the trip out to downtown Fort Worth, TX to the annual Fort Worth Train Show. I had brought some of my older locomotives along with me to sell/ trade. Well lets just say, I traded a few engines, and in return, got a little bit of cash, and #3300! I have to say this is one AWESOME engine!
I just got a GP60B, used, but its a 2004 model! its a nice athearn!

You don't need to take off the fuel tank or the 4 screws under it, those are for removing the motor. Just the screws for the couplers are all you need to remove. Do your homework before telling others how to do it incorrectly!

I have found the 3300 for quite cheap on ebay nowadays but i do admit it's a nice engine but since i didn't find it at the train show that i went to i bought somthing probably more rare then the 3300.

Wow, this is really neat; good find!
I agree with you about the quality of Athearn models, but personally I prefer Kato.

Sorry, but you just need to take the coupler screws out (obviously take the coupler holders out) and the shell will pop off. You don't need to take the fuel tank off.
