Our research into the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant brought us to the archives of a former Brookhaven National Lab Scientist Vance Lewis Sailor. During the construction of the Shoreham plant Sailor was a member of the group Citizens for an Orderly Energy Policy which advocated on the behalf of the plant but was not affiliated with the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO). His wealth of records on the subject was of great assistance to us.
One of the first things discovered during our initial research was the transcript of the testimony of William J. Catacosinos before a Senate subcommittee. The hearing was in regards to the the construction and authorization of the Shoreham nuclear power plant. Catacosinos served as the CEO of LILCO after Charles Perice stepped down. What Catacosinos says feels especially prescient today with our current energy concerns.
Special thanks to the Stony Brook University Archives.

Full Disclosure:
The video taken at the Stony Brook University Archives actually proceeds many of the interviews conducted for this film. The adjustment in chronology was done solely for creative purposes, and I would claim does not affect any of the content in the movie as a whole.
Good. Wish the audio was a little clearer though. Hopefully future chapters improve this.
