Patrick's Day - (Original Song)

March 17th is St. Patrick's Day and I wrote this song to celebrate the feast a good 10 years ago. And like so many folk songs, I'm telling a story in the song - I hope that explains what I try to do in this simplest of videos.

I remember walking down Camden Street to meet you,
Watch the sky to see the falling rain.
A little tired but happy to be with you again.
I held your hand, I watched your eyes, I ran my fingers through your hair.
Where do you want to go?
As long as it's stout, you know that I don't care.
For it's Patrick's Day.

Did you see that thing last night, I thought they did it well?
You never liked that actress, she f*cking loves herself, it's not hard to tell.
Idle chat, my mother's fine but the dog is all I've got.
To keep me from thinking of all the things I'm not.
This Patrick's Day.

So congratulate me today, a proud Irish man.
Long gone and still I understand.
Just want it meant to me, the town and the beauty of the place.
Long time ago but I still have your face.
