@Sheilaaliens Listen I am willing to donate and have tried to do this before. I know many would do this - there is not an organized effort to help these people and knowing the Chernobyl people who could not afford to leave evacuation were simply forced to stay in the dangerous area - we in the US can help them - I will gladly offer money - they have a cultural issue with this so someone needs to be a leader and convince them to leave. my email - teka3@hushmail.com

Actually, Japan is not sinking - parts of it are just rising. The same exact things happen in virtually every other earthquake. This is nothing new. The fact that some property was built upon landfill didn't help things any.
