||~Description~||
This is the one video that I had finish, hiatus or not, because it's for my seminary class at school. Technically, it's not done; my partner for the project is adding a voiceover to the scripture in the video and then emailing it back to me to add in and me emailing back to her to put on a DVD, but I figured I liked the video without a voiceover, and I'd upload this version so her voice wouldn't have to be on YouTube, hahahah.

The scripture is from D&C 121:34-36.
D&C = Doctrine and Covenants. Section 121. Versus 34-36.
D&C is one of our scriptures; it's was originally called the "book of commandments"; they're a bunch of revelations that God gave to Joseph Smith concerning the gospel and how to apply the teachings from the Bible to our world today (hence why people still think Mormon are poligimists; in D&C, that commandment was abolished from Jesus' time because it wasn't needed in today's age).

If you have questions about my religion specifically, ask me in a comment or a PM; don't go flaming my beliefs on this video, alright? I don't want to hear it.

Seminary is a class that we, as members of the LDS church, can take when we're in high school; we get a release period because the class must be taught in a separate building beside campus. We have the scripture masteries every year (last year was Book of Mormon; this year is D&C and next year will be Old Testament); Brother Wadsworth (my teacher) decided to do something fun; we were split into groups of two or three (sometimes four) and given a scripture mastery to work with (there are twenty-five, spread out between like, six classes) and I knew immediately I wanted to work with this one. Everyone else is going to film something about the scripture, but I had to be all...not normal and use LotR footage. XD My poor partner, hahaha. But she's glad she has someone tech-savvy to work with; our video will stand out when all of them are watched. (:

And I've been DYING TO EDIT LOTR. SIHGSDKJB I'M SOOO HAPPY!
The concept of the scripture and how I used it in the video was comparing Aragorn's true leadership to Denethor. (Steward of Gondor, obv.) Denethor being one who abuses his powers and Aragorn representing the one being chosen of God to rule.

Uhm...I know that Frodo has like, nothing to do with the priesthood and Galadriel is NOT God (lmao), but it's all I had. D: So Frodo represents the priesthood, and Galadriel represents God administering it to the people after the apostasy (aka; when the apostles and Christ died; the gospel was taken from the earth). And besides; the scene where Frodo falls always reminds me of something spiritual anyways, so it fit for me.

Once again, this isn't meant to preach to you. I'm uploading it for fun and nothing more; so don't go hating on it or anything.

  • Really nice ^v^ and I liked that you integrated vidding, school work and religion in this video =) Also, I am envious of you to be able to vid something for you class!

  • Beautiful. :) I remember reading something similiar to this in my bible. God is always first and we shouldn't belong to this world. <3 Anyway, great vid. :)

  • this was amazing! <3333 i gotta say i really loved that part with Galadriel, from 0:38- 0:59. x333

*hopes to see more LotR from you*

  • Whao o.o That was amazing♥

  • Lord of da rings :D awesome video

  • Yay!!! LoTR!!! You edit so well with them!!!! XD I saw it in my subscriptions box, and was look "oooohhh... O.O" XD

  • This looks beautiful my dear =3 Nice choice of footage (I was impressed by the Galadriel clip, because it SO fit the text, first the bad-Galadriel when she would have the ring and then the "right" Galadriel. Just wow.)

Also nice choice of characters ;)

(And I don't know for sure but since Narnia was orginally inspired by LotR and is all about religion maybe LotR is it too? (and then maybe Frodo is a... forget it... *laughs*))

  • 8D I see you got your LotR clips~
