To draw worm gear, the ordered almost same like when you drAw the Bolt and the Nut. By use helix and cut sweep to make the appearance of this teeth. And don't forget you must determine the module before.

    i want to make non standard helical gears in solid works 2011 version

    i am not able to create the profile please guide me with the formulas used to draw involute profile in solid works for helical gear ..for example i want to draw the profile for this gear which have 61 teeths, 4 module and 15degree Right hand, but the daimeter is non standard daimeter is 259, please tell me the procedure to draw this helical gear on solid works, you can send me mail on

    It's really simple.

    The only thing you might be missing is where to get the helix/spiral feature.

    After you draw the defining circle, it's under "Insert - Curve - Helix/Spiral."

    I know you posted this 6 months ago, but if you're still wondering. :-D
