Egg Swap (HOW TO get more babies in a hatch)

How to get more babies in a hatch. I wanted to hatch as many call ducks as i could but was worried she couldn't handle that many eggs.
If they have to many eggs, she wont be able to keep them all warm enough and the cold eggs will keep getting rotated around with the warm ones and that can kill the babies.... SO if you have something else that's broody... pawn them off. When the babies hatch take them away and give them back to the original mother. Ducks cant count (haha, stupid ducks) so she'll never know!

The mother is the color i would love to have. do these breed true to the pair you set up or do they give you ramdum color ducklings?

@charliesweb1k last year she only had 1 baby turn out like her. the other females were a caramel colour and darker. i hope to get more like her this year. mine havent even started laying yet, its been too dark. so they're not even paired up yet... i'm hoping soon!!!

hi could you plzs reply to this thanks do you have to put dummie eggs in are dunni eggs like plastic eggs or could you just use real eggs

@TheJamiesjamiesjamie - i just use real eggs, from another chicken. works good and they're always available so i've never tried the plastic or wood kind. good luck!!
