@AndrosForever Do you think my Acer Aspire 5732z w/ Intel Platinum processor T44000 (Two gigahertz, 800mhz) & 3gb of ram?
-
Try installing Skyrim acceleration layer or skyboost. You can onlyuse one of those at a time otherwise they will conflict. Some people see no performance boost while others have seen anywhere from 8-15+ fps boost or more.

720 is not maxed lol

How did you manage such performance? I have the 7809u FX and can't handle anything even near to that. Did you change the CPU? If so, how did you know which ones were compatible with the motherboard and how did you change it? cause you know it is a laptop and I imagine it must be hard to do it.
that doesnt look like a laptop

What are the specs on the laptop you're using? My teen daughter & I are both looking for laptops for Christmas, and hers in particular would need to be able to run games such as Dragon Age (Origins & DA2), and pref. also Might & Magic Heroes VI. We're esp. looking at some of the AMD A6 & A8 - powered laptops on sale this month (or on Black Friday), some of which are Gateways like yours.

@DOSBoxMom My laptop is more than 3 years old, but I've managed to squeeze out a lot more performance than it would normally give on stock settings. I have the stock 9800m gts 1gb overclocked and with a modded bios, the x9100 cpu overclocked to 3.2 Ghz and I run Skyrim off a Samsung 64Gb SSD with very high write/read speeds.
