All settings maxed out, all extra options enabled, 720p through HDMI to my HDTV 4x AA, 16x AF, increased shadow resolution to 2048.

Game runs FANTASTIC! Been playing for many hours now and the fps in outdoor areas is around 35fps, while inside dungeons it goes up to around 45-60 (In the one dungeon in the mountain near the early village).

Been having a BLAST so far with this game, truly immersive and gives an epic feeling of "Vikinghood" :)

Feeling like the best medieval/fantasy RPG of all time by what I've experienced so far. Playing with a wireless xbox360 controller, works VERY well with this game.

Fantastic controls and love the new spell/swordfighting mechanics.

  • that doesnt look like a laptop

  • @buzznhunter read description

  • radeon 1gb

  • @Blondiii369 I don't use a cooling pad and yea you should run the game great

  • What are the specs on the laptop you're using? My teen daughter & I are both looking for laptops for Christmas, and hers in particular would need to be able to run games such as Dragon Age (Origins & DA2), and pref. also Might & Magic Heroes VI. We're esp. looking at some of the AMD A6 & A8 - powered laptops on sale this month (or on Black Friday), some of which are Gateways like yours.

  • @DOSBoxMom My laptop is more than 3 years old, but I've managed to squeeze out a lot more performance than it would normally give on stock settings. I have the stock 9800m gts 1gb overclocked and with a modded bios, the x9100 cpu overclocked to 3.2 Ghz and I run Skyrim off a Samsung 64Gb SSD with very high write/read speeds.

  • I need this laptop.

  • i had the settings the same as his but yet the quality still looks bad. Fog is white squares and clothing is blank, everything else is fine but a little laggy

  • @SpeedRacer98683 u mean the video quality

  • @AndrosForever Do you think my Acer Aspire 5732z w/ Intel Platinum processor T44000 (Two gigahertz, 800mhz) & 3gb of ram?

  • @hgrf93

Try installing Skyrim acceleration layer or skyboost. You can onlyuse one of those at a time otherwise they will conflict. Some people see no performance boost while others have seen anywhere from 8-15+ fps boost or more.

  • 720 is not maxed lol

  • How did you manage such performance? I have the 7809u FX and can't handle anything even near to that. Did you change the CPU? If so, how did you know which ones were compatible with the motherboard and how did you change it? cause you know it is a laptop and I imagine it must be hard to do it.
