  • thats odd.. roaring camp usually takes trains up the

right track you see in video. Was it getting refueled?

  • No - it was "Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine". They couldn't run around the loop track at the station, so when the train departs, it would back up the lead track to the depot area and turn on the wye.

  • Yeah, Thomas ran on standard gauge. But there were all these people wandering around the station. Maybe they just didn't want to run the narrow gauge trains through there.

  • @Ripreaper

The RC&BT also runs on the old SP branch line from Santa Cruz to Felton. That is where Thomas was.

  • @ganymedeIV4 it's a shay locomotive and yes it was used for logging

  • Yup. It was used on the legendary West Side Lumber Co. which interchanged with the Sierra Railway until 1962 when operations with the railroad shut down and the locomotives sold.

  • wow thats a rare steam engine. even for being a steam engine. they used to use it for logging right?

  • I hope 7 comes back soon. The engineer should have opened the whistle more, he was holding back too much. She has a beautiful whistle, but it needs to be really opened to hear the beautiful voice.

  • last time i saw thomas thought it was running on standard

    gauge tracks. heh
