@LULLYxoxo A little comment on that: Handel was indeed inspired by Purcell, and so much of Handel's music shows Purcell's influence. I think Handel really had an awakening when he came to England and discovered Purcell's music. A genius certainly can see the greatness of others.

I feel like the orchestra is playing just a bit too fast. Music of this period must never forget the majesty and ceremony that it represents. well played to be sure, only a bit too fast for my taste.
