Ok, back a good while ago, I made a video demonstrating how to play a record with no electricity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRMDaOBxUXk . Quite a few of you challenged and questioned me about playing a record without electricity where technically electricity was used to spin the turntable. Well fair enough, it does use some electricity to some extent so I have remade the video which only runs on hand power. You can use this to listen to music during a power cut or in a remote forest.

Shame that you cannot play a CD or mp3 without electicity. So much for modern technology lol.

  • @AppleOranges12 You could use this method instead of buying a Gramophone...

  • i wish i knew where to get awesome records offline so i could do this to them

  • just stabilize it all and hook it up to a hamster wheel, good to go

  • That looks sooo unstable.

  • i think someone with rhythm should be turning the record though!

  • WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS?!

  • i did it and it didnt ruin any of the records i have. you gotta get the speed just right for it to work

  • It'd be fun to play anti-records in this method.

  • @mg426426426 I totally agree, you will destroy your record like that! and shellac records are rare
