  • @bcarpenter76 The band you're looking for is the "Rave-Ups" and the song title is "Respectfully King of Rain".‏

  • one of the greatest guitarists!

  • Not sure which tune that is..can do some research tho...I thought these guys were great for their time! They always put on a helluva show everytime I ever saw them! I miss 'em!

  • Hi AZ:

Question for you. There is a song that my brother says is by these guys...but I can't figure it out.

Here are some lyrics as far as I can tell (bad quality cassette tape)

"I dreamt I had a dream last night"

    [????]

"It was a funny little dream"

"Well the Moon was almost lost last night, it was traded for a king

and was spilled out from a coffee cup..."

Chorus: I won't make it if you won't make it take these lonesome dreams of making it - Down

that is as good as I can do

  • Grew up in Wichita, always love these guys! Was at the concert for tapin Oslo/Wichita album, never got to see it tho! Thanks for the good memories!

  • Gosh I love this song. I also like the CD version with that horribly (totally cool) out-of-tune piano in it!

  • This was as good in '88 as it was at Jose's in Fayette"vile", Arkansas in 1984 when they were still "Steve, Bob and Rich", but then that was before sex could kill you faster than drugs could...They rocked and set the standard for good Midwest Rhythm and Rhyme...
