I disagree, I find Palin's word salads to be far more inarticulate. But I guess that's just a matter of opinion.

  • @11111110 I know he speaks often without a teleprompter. However, when he does so, his sentences are often as inarticulate as Sarah Palin's, and include grammatical errors and an inordinate amount of "um," "ah," "uh," etc. because he seems not to know exactly how to express himself. In my experience, he is only able to speak coherently in complete sentences (without the hesitation) when he either has the teleprompter, or he has read and memorized a previously prepared set of statements.

  • @11111110 You are either a child or you are being deliberately obtuse.

  • @jnjnelson

You said you've never heard the president speak in complete sentences without a teleprompter. Since he very often speaks without a teleprompter, it only led me to believe that you haven't paid him much attention. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

  • @11111110 Who said I rarely ever listen to the President speak? Who said I expect anyone to accept my arguably uninformed views? You continue to put words in my mouth; please stop.

I often listen to the President speak, and he almost exclusively uses some sort of teleprompter. When he doesn't, he seems to me to struggle to use complete sentences. Even ignoring the use of teleprompters, I disagree vehemently with the words Mr. Obama says. His solutions almost always entail government.

  • @jnjnelson

So, you remind everyone that you rarely ever listen to the president speak, and then expect us to take your views as informed?

  • @11111110 Right - that was my post. I don't see how anyone could describe that post as a "no complete sentences" theory. My comment is not a theory, it is a description of my experience; it is a simple statement of fact, not a theory.

Mr. Obama might be an excellent orator (he is skilled at performing in front of an audience), but he is proving to be a lousy President. It would help if he focused on protecting and defending the Constitution, instead of circumventing and manipulating it.

  • So long as you can read your tele -prompter! He just looks like an idiot with his huge prompter shadows!
