The current "Great Recession" is likely to have a dramatic impact on America's children. Vitually all the progress made in children's economic well-being since 1975 is likely to be wiped out by the downturn. The impact is especially severe for low-income children of color.

Our speakers will discuss the state of America's children, some bright spots and particular areas of concern, as well as steps America can take to help its young people succeed in the face of daunting obstacles.

If taking into account what was going on to boost your numbers, were in the reasons the 'great recession', and prior ones, say the system needs a grounds up re-work?
Will admit, its difficult to fully keep my personal bias clear from personal troubles, in that I have made a difficult choice, and it pains me, that the most responsible decision is to not have a family,because my means are tuff enough to live off of
