STORY:
A number of business owners from New York and further afield went to Radio City at the weekend to see the Chinese New Year Splendor.
[Richard Mahon, Bar Owner, Manhattan]:
The color. The spectacular. The dancing. The entertainment value of it and a great insight in to Chinese culture. It was a great time to see it on the Chinese New Year, celebrate the New Year with for the Chinese people.
Abu Karim was born in Pakistan and now lives in Connecticut. He says seeing the show has made him want to celebrate the Chinese New Year from now on.
[Abu Karim, Business Owner]:
I am so delighted to be here with my family.
Jane Brick runs an interior landscape-design business in New Jersey, she was at the show with her husband Michael.
[Jane Brick, Interior Designer]:
I think it is wonderful. Everything is so diversified. And everybody is so talented. And the voices are beautiful. The accomplishment of playing of instruments is wonderful. And just watching traditional dancing and costumes. So its really, its quite wonderful for us.
[Michael Brick, Industrial Packaging]:
It's good to have that historical perspective. Its all very professional. Extremely well choreographed. And we are enjoying it very much.
Mindy Lewis travels to China on business quite often. She saw the show with her friend John Zald.
[Mindy Lewis, Fashion Designer]:
They were beautiful. It was just really inspiring. And just fun to watch...I loved the dancing and the drummers."
From the young to the old, Divine Performing Arts delight one and all.
