Participant Media was founded in 2004 to create quality entertainment about meaningful issues. To facilitate this, Participant creates specific social action campaigns for each film and documentary designed to give a voice to issues that resonate in the films. Participant teams with social sector organizations, non-profits and corporations who are committed to creating an open forum for discussion, education and who can, with Participant, offer specific ways for audience members to get involved.
Christina Lindstrom is the Director of Social Action & Advocacy at Participant Media. Christina Lindstrom joined Participant in June 2007 as Manager, Social Action, where she is responsible for the research and development of Participant's social action campaigns and for the day-to-day management of all contracts and accounting related to the campaigns. Prior to joining Participant, Christina worked in international sales and for Amnesty International USA's Artists for Amnesty department in Los Angeles.
