Super Metroid LP part 1: Ceres Station is under attack!!!

Super Metroid is one of my favorite games of all time. It's almost one of the best designed games ever! Everything about this game is perfect! It has cool boss fights, cool monsters, awesome items, awesome zones, good exploration, an awesome soundtrack, etc. But even after finding everything on this game, there is still a challenge: doing it faster! Part of the challenge is figuring out the fastest route and order to do things. And the fastest route for backtracking is to do it just before the final area so you effectively are doing much of the game on hard mode, especially with less energy tanks and missiles.

What I plan to do on this play thru is to do what I always do: play thru all the content very efficiently and win the game! 100% complete is what I always do unless for some reason my memory allows me to forget an item which won't happen on this LP. My record time is one hour and thirty five minutes. Now, when I play, I don't skip content. I go thru every room except for some save stations and energy rechargers. I don't use glitches either. And I always get the map for every zone. As for sequence breaking, I only do it to get beams or missiles earlier and use the wave beam to get to Crocomire much faster than usual. I like to play thru the game effectively without using game breaking tactics. I expect this play thru to take an hour and forty minutes. As for this first video, the in game timer doesn't start until after you get to Zebes.

Edit: Now that I looked at it again, the game timer does apparently start at the space station. Oh well, I still think it is contradictory to game design to suicide on a boss.
