I do admit that is kind of funny. It is wrong to sexualize children but, at least the outfit is covering her up, which is more then i can say for the mothers that let their children go in these pagents with their bellis hanging out.

@sweetheartz thank you! you are absolutely right! people have gotten so stupid nowadays! complaining over something like this at least Dolly Parton is a decent Idol to look up too compared to whats out there nowadays. And you can obviously see that the mother was having her wear it to display some lighthearted humor, the pageant moms get so ridiculous. They probably felt they were being mocked. they take this WAY too seriously

@WeRThePerfect2 I see where you're coming from, but sadly, this isn't the worst "sexualizing" subject I've seen. Due to today's society, children of all ages are exposed to sex at some dergree everyday. Whether it be t.v., radio, music, at school, or shopping at the grocery store with their parents. Besides, this mother and daughter obviously felt there was something special about wearing the same pageant costume.

For those calling the mother sick and disturbed, she clearly says at 0:28 - 0:34 the costume was originally hers and is being HANDED DOWN to Maddy. Honestly, this seems no different than your everday dress up. In dress up, you wear makeup, high heels, dress in fancy dresses that belonged to your mother/grandmother, and perhaps even stuffed the bust of the dress with toilet paper to make you look older. At least Maddy is more ladylike than those scantily clad 7 yr. olds dancing to "Single Ladies"
