Avril Lavigne is Back! New Album Preview

Hey music fans! Our favorite skater girl is back and this time around she's all grown up-I'm Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV and that story's coming up right now!

Dubbed the princess of pop/punk---Avril Lavigne is set to release her next album this November and fans should start preparing themselves for much softer version of the 25-year-old artist! It's been 7 years since Avril burst onto the scene-she was much different than the other blonde singers topping the charts at the time-unlike Britney and Christina, Avril became well-known for her tomboyish style and opinionated antics.

Songs like "Complicated," "Skater Boi," and "Girlfriend," made Avril one of the top selling artists in the US. So what exactly will this softer side of Avril be like on her upcoming album? Well she says that it's a lot different from anything she's done before. It's not a pop rock record. It's more about emotion and feeling." And who better to collaborate with on this emotional project that her own husband, and Sum 41 frontman, Deryck Whibley. He produced 8 of the 12 tracks, half of which Avril wrote alone. She's keeping it in the family on this project, just writing songs on her piano at home.

There is no title for the album yet and we also don't know what the first single will be, but we're guessing it might be "Black Star," which is coincidentally the name of her new fragrance---which will also hit stores this fall. Another incredible track on the LP is "Darlin," which Lavigne says was probably the second song she ever wrote, so it's really special to her.

I love what Avril did on this album. I mean What The Hell and Smile is a little softer than her pop/rock song like Girlfriend. So I love this new side of Avril. Now im hoping on her next record she combines the soft side with her punk rock side.
