Finishing strong, from February 22nd through the 28th, view video footage of Post 1066 of the American Legion Hall with 6th year Commander Jack Hipp. Commander Hipp discusses the history of the American Legion, its community outreach including scholarships and its membership drive. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines qualify for membership after having served our Country in active duty during any war time including World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Lebanon/Grenada, Operation Just CausePanama, Operation Desert Shield-Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom. Commander Hipp discusses the benefits of membership, including the American Legion Veterans Memorial Garden and affordable banquet rooms for rent. Accommodating up to 200 people, the rooms are ideal for weddings, engagement parties, sweet 16s bar/bat mitzvahs, communions, confirmations, bridal/baby showers, business conferences, trade shows and holiday gatherings. Join the American Legion at its St. Patricks Day Dinner Dance featuring the Columbus Circle Orchestra on March 14th and dine on authentic corned beef and cabbage.
