The Carl Zeiss METROTOM is an industrial Computed Tomography machine of truly unique capabilities. Applications include internal and external precision metrology (microns), internal and external visualization, assembly analysis, defect analysis, and reverse engineering.

Automatic defect detection and analysis to locate and quantify voids and or porosity in a component or assembly is a useful tool. In addition to tabular reporting, the graphic rendering of the voids in the 3D volume allows us to quickly get a sense as to where, how much and how large the voids are.
