@squifurgie I love, Lee, too. He's one of my favorite characters (out of anything).

Getting drunk wouldn't help. The point of suiken is that it's hard to predict; particularly in the way of pacing, which means opponents can't help but leave themselves open. Being too fast to keep up with does the same. If Lee's opponent is as fast as him after opening gates, the drunken lulls would be a hindrance.

I wonder if we'll see Gai open the 8th gate to do some "Evening Dragon" attack that will kill him.

I love Rock Lee's Shoryuken at 0:51 , so awesome, I can't wait to see Lee go berserk and open seven gates, take off his weights and get drunk all at once. I don't care how powerful of an enemy he's up against, they are in for a brutal fight.
