The "Extreme Ceilidh" took place at the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen, on the 16th December 2010.

The ceilidh fused dance, live music, video and performances from St Joseph's RC School, Kingsford School, Bridge of Don Academy, Aberdeen College and members of the community, and was called by River City's Joyce Falconer.

The Extreme Ceilidh was presented as part of a series of events in Aberdeen from August 2010 to March 2011 called Extreme, a major project from the National Theatre of Scotland and Aberdeen City Council that involves sport, theatre, dance and music.
