Carey explains early in this book that he will use terms that sound Christian but not to assume that they have the meanings associated with them by religion. When he speaks of be the Christ, Christ is understood to be not the physical Jesus but for us to be "annointed of Love". "cristed" This came from Ken Carey's book. They are his words. I have to think that perhaps you have not listened to it too well. Jesus was "cristed" annointed of Love.
