Nope not only in America the UK has it's Motability program. I was injured in Iraq and use a Motability Vehicle. Visually my injuries are not noticable I can even walk short distances but would you mock me? Always be careful of what you say because you don't know what's around the corner!
Good on you girl for holding onto your independance it's a valuable thing that most have no reason to value.
