Elvis Presley Come What May (Take 2)
Written by Franklin Tableporter. Elvis recorded it May 28, 1966 at RCAs Nashville studios. The single release never made the charts, but it was listed as Bubbling Under at #109. It was the B-side to Love Letters and was never released on an album by RCA but had been released on a bootleg LP-The Hillbilly Cat. As far as I know, it still hasnt been released. This is take 2 of the song, and is available on the FTD release So High. There are other takes available on Today, Tomorrow & Forever, From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, and Collectors Gold.

I am yours and you are mine, come what may
Love like ours remains divine, come what may
Even though you;re miles apart
You're living in my lonely heart

At night the teardrops start and pour the long long day

I got your picture near me since you went away
I plant a kiss upon your lips each night and day
Bear in mind and you will find a heart that is true
And I'll be here with you come what may

I got your picture near me since you went away
I plant a kiss upon your lips each night and day
Bear in mind and you will find a heart that is true
And I'll be here with you come what may
And I'll be here with you come what may
And I'll be here with you come what may
Ah um bop a bop a um bop a bop a come what may

  • The take that appeared on the B-side of the Love Letters single is hard to find, but it does appear on Rare Elvis, released by RCA Germany in 1980.

  • GREAT vid! There are so many gems of Elvis's that are unknown. It's really a sad shame, isn't it?
