Wright State University Astronomy Club introduces the viewer to the "planisphere," a visual aid for identifying constellations in the night sky, and shows how one can make one's own planisphere (with a little help from the National Research Council of Canada) using nothing more than some basic office supplies.

Because i'm searching but I can not find something to print...

Please answer me,as soon as It is possible !!

  • @MrSophie980 The WSU site is down. The planisphere can now be downloaded from outreachastronomer dot dyndns dot org.

  • its not called a brass paper fastener. It is a split pin

  • @AceIsManik In researching this, I wouldn't agree that "split pin" should be a replacement term, but I do see that it is another name used to identify what I am calling a "paper fastener."

  • What is the intro from?

  • @jamman55 The intro is from Timbaland's "Give It To Me" featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.

  • @Shompy06 Judging from the visibility of the stars in the tail of Scorpius, I would estimate the "official" latitude of the planisphere to be about 45 degrees N. Our club uses it comfortably down here at 39.75 degrees N, so 45 +/- 5 degrees would be the optimal range for its use.

  • how to use it was super usefull. becouse bought a bit cheap telescome and this thing was included and i had no idea how to use it.

  • What latitude is the planisphere meant to be used at?

  • Hi,

Thanks a million. I'm just getting started and this video sure guided me.
