'Jeewanaye Saminduney' - Rukmani Devi & Dayarathna Ranatunga (1970s) - Christian Song

Its Madhu church festival time, lets wish peace be thereupon all the people.

Rukmani Devi sang this beautiful song with Daya back in the 1970s before her life was tragically taken away on 28th October 1978 in an accident. Her voice remains clean as a whistle and clear as crystal.

Beautiful music and lyrics which I am not quite sure who did hence no mentioning. Apologies for lesser reproduction of sound quality.

Its very nice of you to upload this from a couple of legends to celebrate the Madhu festival, an important and a historic event for all christians in Sri Lanka after 30 years. People from all faiths are invited to celebrate the event tomorrow. I wish I was there too. Also thanks for refreshing my memory of this sacred church with your photographs.
