  • boomer and Ken both didn't get the ring...that's just fact....boomer was good...Ken, though an ass....was better i'm a sportcaster that grew up idolizing Ken anderson until a 2min conversation made me realize that I should never put a sports figure in the spotlight unless they are a personal aquaintance

  • I don't know Ken Anderson personally but I heard he was and is a very competitive person. You're right...he shouldn't treat the Bengal faithful that way. However...I wish he was still in the Bengals organization tutoring Carson Palmer whenever he needs it. Mr. Anderson was very, very GOOD in his day. Maybe he was having a bad practice trying to get through to some of those hardheaded players the Bengals had on their roster back in 1997. That was a long year.

  • Jeff may not be the best quarter back in Bengal's history but he's certainly the sexiest! ;-)

  • As a quarterback...he wasn't halfway bad either. Being only 5 foot 11 didn't help him at all.

  • @myersjohn1974 Greg Cook was the greatest Bengal QB.

  • any dalton will win a super bowl

  • Really, those are my options, really, really, really. THEY ALL SUCK...........

  • There are 3 options:

    1. Jack Thompson 3rd overall pick in 1979 draft

    2. David Klingler 6th overall pick in 1992 draft

    3. Akili Smith 3rd overall pick in 1999 draft

Hope Andy Dalton can run over this guys...

  • gregg cook was a great qb while he played...

  • @someymehra when ISN'T losing the superbowl painfull...?

  • @Fanatic2020 lol...ok, you still lost both superbowls in painfull fashion

  • @someymehra Both super bowl wins combined only put the 49's ahead by 9 points, thats not an ass kicking, thats a narrow defeat...

  • One Ken Anderson play will always stick in my head. The Bengals were playing in Houston, cicra 1975, and Anderson dropped back to pass. Two huge defensive ends came from each side and lowered their heads to drill him in the ribs. Anderson ducked and stepped up in the pocket, the two ends collided head to head and lay motionless on the turf for some time. Scariest collision i've ever seen. Luckily, everyone including Ken was ok.

  • I've watched with pride and sad disappointment at the QB situation since Boomer left.....it was absolutely horrible to be a Bengals fan for most of the 90's after Boomer left....but by far the best QB in the the 33 years I've been watching them has to be Boomer Esiason with Ken Anderson a close second.....Palmer could have been a icon of Bengaldom....but with his little "trade me or im going to pout" has left me with a bit of disgust with him.
