  • However we try to eradicate the legacy of slavery, it might take some more time. People must be educated to be humane to feel how it is to be discriminated. Sympathy people! Touching presentation!

  • This all could have been avoided, if White people had NEVER gone to Africa.

  • For lack of knowledge my people are destroyed.

  • Truth is, talk is cheap. Some Democrats have said that the racist Democrats "found Jesus" and changed their ways, and ran like hell to join the Republican party, to join forces with the Christian Right of MLK & Lincoln. But if that were true--as even Alveda King points out--WHY did the racist Democrats all STAY in the Democrat party? Johnson answered WHY when he signed the bill that lifted Democrat-imposed segregation; saying: "I'll have them n--grs voting Democrat for the next 200 years."

  • The apple never falls far from the tree and that history rhymes. Today's Democrats (the party) are no different than their Democrat fathers who owned slaves, controlled black people, and kept them down for hundreds of years & murdered them for being Republican. The only difference between the early days and now is the means by which the masters achieve control. A pimp has two ways of controlling a girl and working her. A slap on the face; or a kiss on the forehead. It's harder to hate a kiss.

  • Okay, you get the picture. These civil rights platforms continued on this way on for 100 more years, well into the 1960s, when finally, the Democrats caved and Johnson signed a bill that would lift purely-DEMOCRAT-CREATED & IMPOSED SEGREGATION in the South.

At that point, black people left the Republican the party and became Democrats.

Blacks are still contained & controlled by the same party who oppressed their fathers, only not through violence but sticks & carrots at election time.

  • THE REPUBLICANS PLATFORM

    1868

This Convention declares its sympathy with all the oppressed people which are struggling for their rights.

  • Okay, this really pisses off the Democrats and so their racist demons show themselves stronger!

    THE DEMOCRATS PLATFORM

    1868

The Democratic party . . . demand[s] . . . the abolition of the Freedmens Bureau and all political instrumentalities designed to secure Negro supremacy. . . . Instead of restoring the Union, it [the Republican Party] has so far as in its power dissolved it, and subjected ten states, in time of profound peace, to military despotism and Negro supremacy.

  • THE REPUBLICANS PLATFORM

1864 (Continued where we left off)

...we are in favor, furthermore, of such an AMENDMENT to the Constitution as shall TERMINATE and forever PROHIBIT the existence of slavery within the limits of the jurisdiction of the United States.

  • THE REPUBLICANS PLATFORM

    1864

As slavery was the cause and now constitutes the strength of [the Civil War] and as [slavery] must be always and everywhere hostile to the principles of republican government, justice and the national safety demand its utter and complete [elimination] from the soil of the Republic; and while we uphold and maintain the acts and proclamations by which the government in its own defense

has aimed a deathblow at this gigantic evil... (see continuation)
