This is my Specialized Allez. I changed parts to make it one of my racing bikes. I figured I share it with the world to give people ideas. Sram Force Groupo minus the crankset. It will be changed to Force too pretty soon. New Stem, seatpost, saddle, wheels ect. Pretty much the frame is stock the rest is new.

  • i have the same bike...

i don't think there was any point in pimping out this bike coz the frame is just shit....

might aswell buy a new bike :P

how much did u spend on all the stuff anyway?

  • @eddie2593

lol. I do have more than one new bike. I like this one because the frame is cheap and I do not care so much if I crash it in a race. That being said...I dont see why you say the frame is shit... I love it, but to each his own I guess. It is not the lightest, but it is stiff, the geometry is ok, and the looks are not bad. I cheated since I work @ a bike shop where I got most this stuff cost.

  • @genettico how heavy is the bike now with all the new bits and pieces?

  • @eddie2593

C'mon man... you know that depends on what wheels you got in there. The bike can go into 15.8pds with my EC90's or 17.7pds with the wheels on the video. So again.. not the lightest frame... but at least cheap reliable and not a slug either. I can also put on some reynolds assault and be in the middle of this 2 weights or the Strikes for a tad under 17.0pds. The TTR2 wheelset on the vid are not light wheels at all. I love them to train on but thats it!

  • which wheels do u have on it, ive got the eilte and would like to get some wheels that are deeper cos they just look asome, but i dont really want to pay over a grand to get some zipp's, looks really gr8 the red in the allez just looks brilliant

  • @thepetetyphoon

You can get some reynolds solitude which are 31mm? if Im not mistaken. They are 1550grams or so... not bad for the price (about $500 MSRP). or if youcan find the TTR2 (40 mm) they are great but they are much heavier at almost 1825grams... not so great for criteriums and ok for rolling races and maybe some little hills.
