I've heard many times that people should still eat meat because fruits, vegetables, and other plants suffer in the exact same way that animals do. Today we explore that statement.

  • @whatwehaveknown Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I also respect people's decision to eat a strictly fruitarian diet, but at the present moment, with the information and experience I have available to me, I believe that young tender veggies have an important place in the human diet. Fruit is number 1 and I believe that for the reasons you mentioned as well, but I believe in the long-run greens are a must. I'm open to learn more though, and Anne is a wonderful lady! :)

  • @RealRawResults im not coming from a place of judgment. i respect you and i think you have good intentions. but there is a way to live without eating plants. you can eat fruit become fruitarian we have a symbiotic relationship with trees and trees grow fruit for us to eat in return for us to spread their seed because there not mobile. Anne Osborne has a great book Fruitarianism the path to paradise which u might know since i think you went to the WS fruit festival.

  • @SkallywagMr I feel I'm being very objective: I HATE PLANTS AND WANT TO KILL AS MANY OF THEM AS POSSIBLE!!!

  • @shizzzbiscuit When people choose to destroy the planet and other animals "because it taste good" and then get sick and I have to pay for their cholesterol and diabetes meds through my taxes, then it's directly my problem and I'm not okay with that. If one was truly comfortable and content and feeling as though there are no contradictions between their actions and their beliefs, they wouldn't feel offended by someone pointing out their bad habits. ;)

  • @RealRawResults Just because as an animal you can relate to the pain of a slit throat doesnt mean that theres no pain on the part of the plant. You are not only being unreasonable but actually extremely subjective.

  • @RealRawResults Back to my original point, is it okay for somebody like you to attack people who don't live your lifestyle? Using sarcasm and acting superior is just you being a douchebag. People choose to live the way they want to, you eat plants, good for you, i love fruits and vegetables. But i also eat meat, because i love beef and fish, but apparently i'm worthy of being attacked by people who don't? That's just acting indignant for the sake of feeling superior, which is stupid.

  • @SkallywagMr Exactly. Which is why eating lettuce and celery is possibly more cruel and violent than slitting the throat of an animal and eating it's flesh!!! ;)

Just about everything has some sort of sentient value. You can eat plants and kill plants and not animals, or you can eat nothing and eventually die. I'm a rather rational person, so I choose to just eat plants. :)

  • @istotaboska Oh man, don't get me started on breatharians! "Our anuses and mouths are a mistake of physiology!" Good grief!

  • look into the research of Dr. Jagadishchandra Bose. He proved that plants are in fact sentient. You should also look into fungi. They are actually even more sentient and complex than humans.

  • @shizzzbiscuit I'm sure I stepped on a few bugs today and the internet satellite sending you this right now probably caused a few animals to die. Better than than intentionally and directly causing the death of thousands of animals per year just so their pieces and excretions and rot inside our colons!
