Tom Delong from Angels and Airwaves is going to be singing in both blink 182 and angels and airwaves at the same time. Corey Taylor sings in both slipknot and stone sour. AIC was a good band because they sounded unique. Most of the reason why they sounded unique was layne's flair. This new guy that they have doesn't have a unique tone at all and now it just sounds like aregular band in a sea of other regular bands. If they didn't have their rep from before then nobody would buy their album.

Why didn't Alice in Chains just get aaron to lead instead of hiring this new guy? I've heard that the new alice in chains sounds nothing like the old one

because Aaron has his own band... The guy AIC got to sing is good. I've seen them twice. He's not Layne, but he's good. Personally, I think it would have been disrespectful to Layne to find some guy that sounds exactly like him. There are lots of videos of AIC on youtube with William singing. Listen with an open mind...
