  • This is one of the most phenomenal recordings of this song. I remember a radio talk show from my hometown would play this almost morning. It made me even more proud of the heritage and strength in the words and melody of this song. Every relevant vocal and instrumental talent of that time contributing to this makes it a keepsake. Let it Ring!!!

  • I'd like to know what the people complaining here are listening to. This is a most beautiful version of this song. I can listen to it over and over again! "Let freedom ring"!

  • @discodancer1234 Furthermore, there are a bunch of reissues of Melba stuff, but not the original Soul Exposed nor this version, I can have a look into the booklet and provide to you further details. It will take a while as I got at about 5.000 cds, and need to put some sort on the mess, as since I moved I havent sorted that stuff.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted.

    Regards

  • @discodancer1234 Sorry for the delay.

The original spin was included within Melba Moore work "Soul exposed", is a hard to find one and the current prices are outrageous. The stuff I got it's a kind of promo cd, the cover is the one at the start of this video, with different versions.I'm not sure if I got it through GEMM, try there.

  • @MadridSoulbrother What cd is this song on? I'm trying to find it too.

  • I agree this is a hot mess.

  • @needzmotivation I kinda agree

  • I know I'm going to get flames for saying this, but I'm not feeling this version.

Maybe it's the traditionalist in me, but there's something about the original version with the organ and the choir that I just love.

I know that they're putting their own spin on it and making it more relevant to the times in which they were singing, but it's just too much hollering and runs. They aren't even singing the song! They're just saying freedom over and over...

Its okay but not feeling it.at all.

  • Tks for this I spent years till I got this single.
