Activist Anna Maria Hoffman explains why it's ridiculous that people should be labeled with hateful words like "homophobic," "heteronormative," and "bigot" for wanting to restore a culture of marriage in society.

The majority of people that support gay marriage don't do it because it's a popularity contest, they do it because it's a basic human right with which they agree with. You stupid, bimbo!

this little teenaged Sarah Palin clearly drank the kool-aid. excluding on minority from being able to have equal rights is bigotry. You can smile all day while you vomit your hate speech, my dear, and it is still ugly and hateful.

I'm glad you added that last part, At war. I am an officer in the Marine Corps, if something happens to me and I wasn't married (I'm not) she would not be directly told, she would not receive any benefits, notification nothing. Marriage is symbolic for people and still is, it is also a legal agreement, even for non-military. I want to marry her because I love her, the reasons listed as well as there's no harm in it. If you see marriage as an arbitrary commitment fine. Don't get married.

The push for gay marriage is about it making it become more socially acceptable, it also has legal benefits for both people involved. Your entitled to your own opinion about 'what' you think marriage is, I partly agree that love is an irrational concept (both for gay and straight people) so I further agree that a 'love contract' that can be breakable it just so ridiculous. But as long as those involved are 'happy' then I can't argue.

Marriage is not a right. It is a privilege that may be removed by our owners at any time. Marriage is a stupid fucking idea. A "love contract"? Wake the fucking fuck up everyone..

Marriage actually isn't a right. "Rights" is a stupid concept. You have the "right" to DO WHAT'S RIGHT.

Marriage is NOT RIGHT. It codifies the historic oppression of women.

Everyone stop this embarrassing thing where you have a big expensive stupid fluffy party to celebrate the fact that you found someone you might be able to stand exclusively fucking the rest of your life. It's self-important and mortifying.

GET OVER YOURSELVES AND STOP PLAYING HOUSE WE'RE AT WAR AND SHIOT.

MARRIAGE IS A CONTRACT WITH THE *STATE*, wherein you and your spouse and any resulting sproggies are OWNED BY THE STATE.

Marriage is a bullshit idea made up by the elite to control us, to get us in nuclear families split down the middle by a 1:1 ratio of the sexes withing said house.

Gender's social construct. No one is born with one. If marriage didn't exist, would you invent it? Did you know that married women are not as happy as single ones? And married men are *happier* than single ones?

You are obviously homophobic not only because you do not support marriage equality, but because you not once expressed your support for any gay rights whatsoever in this video.

PS. That song in the beginning is super lame.

There are plenty of times when expressing legitimate, and reasonable opinions is bigoted, and hate driven.
