  • @Tugieboy Sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about. Karate is older than TKD. How can the kicks come from TKD???

NO ONE in the world can train for one year and achieve the speed, coordination, and not to forget THE POWER, that the fighters in this clip have.

  • so thats wgat GSP was doin before UFC :P

  • It's hard to judge what's korean and what's japanese because of the interactions between those countries. They have a long and heavy past in common. Tkd was called flying karate in a time. And the idea of kick are different in Japan and in Korea.

  • @sallhame yeah.. right.. haha.. !

  • good video!!!!

  • I thought Oyama states in his autobiography that he was born in korea and studied martial arts, true TKD is a name that was coined in the 50's & 60's, but history affirms that korea has had kicking/punching martial arts for about 1200-1500 years, but I think it is

clear in the kata of kyokyushinkai that Oyama's version of "korean kicks" were introduced to kyokyushinkai, (it is "his" system), I've always considered kyokyushinkai a fusion of Goju Ryu and Taekwon Do

  • @kungfufreddy no punch to the head :D

  • That was beautiful display of speed and power =)

    Good job!

  • @chunkysupreme Nah, there's enough people saying it on the internet to make it believable. Oyama went into the mountains with boxing, judo, Goju Ryu and Shotokan karate. People say the boxing was taekkyon or taekwando because he practiced it in Korea, but it's actually British boxing.

  • @psychedashell i know dude i got it wrong :) he never practiced tkd when i posted that comment i didnt do enough research and unfortunately made myself look a bit stupid haha

  • however it does have good points powerful strikes good kicks an emphasis on conditioning lots of training on flexability as well as a dedication to always improve technique however my son is either going to a boxing school or a tai boxing club

  • i trained ten years in kyokushinkai karate is has its good points but ultimatly is flawed its far too traditional and hasnt modernised notice in kyoshinkai fights there in no front hand job no hook punch no cross u rarely see punches thrown to the head so there is no defence for that hands are low, no head movement i now train mma jujitsu and tai boxing a good karate fighter wud find it very difficult in the ring with a good boxer wen those jabs and hooks start comin in theres no answer
