Hey, when I preview clips like in the top right corner of vegas it is really laggy so it makes it nearly impossible to make a decent montage, do u know how to fix the lag?

@JdMc1996 Judging by your age you probably don't know much about system specs. You need better ram; 6gb 1333 DDR3 RAM recommended. Any quad core INTEL process (preferably i7) or AMD hexa will do. Get a better video card, 5770 recommended, and a good 7200rpm HDD. If you know nothing about computers I'll put it simply, your computer needs to be better. You need new hardware. Vegas is meant to run on powerful desktops; not laptops. Desktops are 2/3's more powerful than a laptop for the same cost.

@ConsoleGamingGuides The videos I make (or attempt to make) do not lag when it has rendered but lag in the preview, like the way yours is at 7:41 so I'm wondering if its wrong settings on vegas? Or something else? I'm quite new to this sorry if I'm bothering u.

@JdMc1996 Rendered videos will always be great, however in order to play videos with heavy fx in vegas before rendering, it burns up your RAM, Processor, and Graphics card. Getting a ''better'' computer will result in less lag. this is normal for heavily editted videos to lag before landing.

@ConsoleGamingGuides Ok Thanks alot, so any quad core processor will be fine?
JdMc1996 1 year ago
@JdMc1996 NO. Make sure the processor is from INTEL and preferrably the INTEL i7 not i5 quad core. If the processor is from the company AMD it isn't nearly as good. Even AMD's 6-core processor cant compare to the i7-920 quad core by intel. You also need a 7200rpm HDD, 6GB ddr3 ram, make sure it says ddr3, and lastly a good graphics card like that ati 5770 minimum for openGL. If you have the money go for a workstation card.
