VASCON is the Vietnamese-American Student Conference, with an expected attendance of several hundred undergraduate and graduate students from around the nation. The conference seeks to inspire and empower its participants so that they leave with the motivation to contribute to and advance the Vietnamese-American community. VASCON brings together the most ardent leaders of the Vietnamese-American community in fields ranging from entertainment to activism. Through educational seminars and interactive workshops and discussions, participants are given a crash course on the issues affecting the Vietnamese-American community today as well as ample time to network with fellow student leaders. Speakers, facilitators, and entertainers are also made accessible for participants to speak with on a more intimate level.

Its primary members are the leaders and staff of Vietnamese Student Associations (VSAs) at college and university campuses in North America, as well as regional umbrella VSA groups, but it also draws from its network of relationships with young working professionals.
Participants VASCON brings together student leaders from all across the nation and the world. In its third successful year, the conference expects about 400-500 students to attend this March.
