i-ACT Day 5: A Gift of Peace

Gabriel and Stacey finally arrived at a refugee camp where they spent one full day with the beautiful people of Darfur. As we watch the children rush to gather around their visitors, it is hard not to see the contrast between their beaming faces and their backdrop of misfortune. In the video, Gabriel and Stacey interviewed one family which recounted their profound loss. The father expressed his concern for his children's malnutrition- the food they get in the camps is insufficient, but without work, he has no choice but to accept what is given to them. Today is Christmas day - for many, it is a day of having a stomach fuller than usual. We ask that you offer your leftovers by donating a sum of money that matches the type of food left over. Here are some general, suggested guidelines:
