@dfjpr Have you listened to his rebuttle of Trump at all or are your lips too attached to his ass to pay attention? Here's a 3rd grade math equation for ya, If a man retires at 45 yrs old and has paid say...2500 per year into his pension fund (roughly 62,000 total) and lives to the avg age of say 75 recieving a check for say 1500 p. mos, how quickly will his original contribution of 62,000 run dry? Now who do you think pays all the extra money for the rest of his retirement? TAX PAYERS.
Thom you are a very skilled, articulate speaker, and I feel privelidged to have found your channel and to hear your reasoning and debating. The points you bring up are fantastic and really promote rational thought about views which are often otherwise deceptively assumed to be axions.
Thom Hartmann refutes Donald Trump's argument and all Trump can do is tap dance, albeit eloquently. Hartmann does not go for the kill, as, I guess, he does not have to shove it down the audience's throat, especially when they just heard the discussion.
This is part of the unregulated economic model we have. We have states racing to the bottom of the barrel competing against each other for business. Who can give away the most to a corporation. It has helped destroy pensions, wages and is bankrupting us. That said Thom, your remarks to The Donald were a little disingenuous. Ain't NO one in the US that pays for their own pension. NO ONE. To retire after 25 years and burdedn the system with 30-40 years of retirement is ludicrous.
Thom is 100% correct. The Southern States that lured foreign auto companies to build plants in their states did so with multi-billion dollar giveaways and basically no taxes having to be paid by these companies. Now, ALL of these states are hurting BIG-TIME for cash and are relying on other states thru Fed tax (wealth) redistribution to balance their budgets. That is utter and complete bullshit. IF these states do not want to tax business fine, but don't ask for Fed money to pay state salaries!

Trump is easily the most polite and smartest conservative I've ever heard on this show by orders of magnitude.
