  • I wish I could explain how I knew. I knew as a small child! It's not what you do or how you look although that can help with identity and solidifying it.. It's like you just *know* and it all seemed wrong. It really is like a female brain recognizing itself as in a male body and seeing that other people think that it is female and the great *wrongness* of it. I do think some intrinsic thought processes are gendered and we just have a different thought orientation. or something ha!

  • Maybe you are on to something with the thought processes. That makes a lot of sense but it is so hard to define.

  • I know what you mean. hard question to answer. about the 50's transwomen- baffled as well.. but I guess there are all types of women, right? also, i think overcompensation could be at work, yes. i mean, missing out on all of the things girls are socialized with, and suppressing themselves for years they must just go all out. I get irritated with my therapist for asking me things like why don' I wear makeup more often. Also..I think Men CAN be feminists honey!

  • I guess there could be male femenists but to me a femenist is someone who believes in the power of women sorta like a woman can do anything she sets her mind to. That's why the contradiction from someone who claims to be a femenist really bothered me.

I would tell my therapist, I am confidentenough with myself as a woman to not have to wear makeup! LOL

Seriuously, not trying to imply at all one way is better than another, just that women come in all shapes, sizes and styles.

  • Hi, You are very pretty. I agree that women can be in control but they can also concede control if they desire. Ellen, June cleaver, Ally Mcbeal, Xena warrior princess are all women. Personality, Sexuality and Gender are all different things and may or may not intersect with each other. Gender is how you want the world to see you.., be it male, female ...hijira/third gender. Sexuality is more about what you find attractive in others. Lost/lack of time can lead to overcompensation.

    xxx ooo

  • You have many great points. There are people out there that really have to expand their thinking and tolerance in order for society to progress. Right now I just graduated from post secondary education as an Autobody Technician. I am a girl and I am having a hard time finding a job in an Autobody Repair shop making reasonable pay like the rest of males I graduated with. Shop "foremen" don't seem to identify me as capable and my skills valuable. The seem to view me as a car detailer; that's it.

  • just wanted to say that you have many good points!

  • i completely agree with you! :) i know my ramblingness made that hard to see tho i appreciate your vlog very much :) the same thoughts cross my mind too

  • okay..sorry. should have done a vid response. so hard to verbalize the exact feeling. much love!
