The Philharmonic watched a performance given by members of the art group of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and some of its members had a joint recital together with musicians of the State Symphony Orchestra of the DPRK. Meanwhile, foreign guests who had come here in connection with the Philharmonic's performance visited the Grand People's Study House, Pyongyang Metro and other places.

  • I have the concert by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Pyongyang in HD and FLAC 6ch audio on my hard drive. Perhaps I should upload it to YouTube?

  • @EmperorAtahualpa It would be nice but maybe the management will invoke 'copyright issue'

  • has anyone read the "news" from the DPRK official site? it's disturbing.

  • THis is actually a very big move on the part of the DPRK. What we Americans need to understand is subtlety. The Asians have and we don't.

  • I don't support USA on any point when it comes to their diplomatic releationships (iraq/iran etc) but North Korea has to be "sacrificed" if we wan't somwhat stabile world and give the millions of starving people in North Korea a chance to survive.

  • Methodologically, the US Government counts only people who are LITERALLY HOMELESS (see "Count of Homeless People in the USA: Fact Sheet on the Number Who Have Experienced Homelessness 2000). In the same way is measured unemployment in every country in the Capitalist World: They never count unemployed people who do not register themselves in the unemployment bureau. That’s right! Another “democratic way” to cover reality.
